Donell began his career in the U.S. Air Force, first as an instructor pilot in the T-37/38, and went on to fly the F-15 Eagle fighter jet in Southeast Asia. After leaving the military he joined United Airlines in 1996 and has flown many commercial planes including Boeing’s 727, 757. 767, 777, and the Air Bus 319/320. He currently flies as an International Captain for United to Europe and South America. Donell holds two MBAs from Regis University in Denver, Colorado; one in Finance & Accounting (2008) and the other in International Business (2009). He has been an active investor for over 37 years and has taught financial literacy for the past 10 years.
He is a licensed agent for life, auto, home, property, and health insurance. Donell became a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator in 2016 in order to help individuals make quality debt reduction decisions by appropriately using existing equity to maximize tax savings opportunities and take advantage of compound interest through investments.
Donell is the author of the book, “The Common Man’s Financial Guide”, that has been taught and sold domestically and internationally since 2019. The book gives dramatic insight how he overcame dire odds using experience, inspiration from the financial gurus of today, and his ability to evaluate companies, to grow a few thousand dollars into a budding fortune. His seminars are well attended, and his students continue their education through online independent curriculum study, podcasts, guidelines, workbooks, and practical applications.
